High Airflow 2 Bay Standard Horse Stable Kit – Full Ply Rear
Two-bay High Airflow horse stable kit with a full height ply rear wall, built for high rainfall areas. The pitched roof lifts the front for ventilation and runs rain off to the rear, while the solid back wall keeps blown-in rain out of the bays.
The rear is where the roof gives the least cover, with a 100 mm overhang against 900 mm at the front. Closing that wall with 17 mm form ply from ground to roof helps keep bedding dry, while the front, ends and dividers keep ply lower panels and galvanised mesh above so air still moves through. The front pitch frame raises the roof to 2.65 m at the front and 2.4 m at the rear.

Horse Stable FAQs
For still or gentle rain, yes. For wind-driven rain, no. Where you put the shelter, and which way it faces, will make more difference than the overhang.
The roof edge sits about 2.45–2.5m up, and 900mm out from the front. Rain falls at an angle that depends on wind speed. Typical drops fall at about 6–9m/s, so even light wind tilts them noticeably. Learn more about Horse Shelter Weather Protection
The High Airflow series has a roof pitch of approximately 3°, with a front panel extension lifting the roof 200mm above the gate. This adds headroom, improves ventilation through the bay and directs rain runoff to the rear.
Useful for taller breeds, maternity stables and also for warmer and wet climates. The extra airflow helps reduce heat and ammonia build-up around mares and new born foals.
A concrete slab is not required for every stable installation. The system can also be installed on compacted road base, crusher dust, gravel or level grass, provided the site is level and drains properly. Concrete is a good option for high traffic areas and gives you a very stable, low movement base. For grass or gravel installations, specialised ground anchors can be used to secure the stable. The biggest priority is good site preparation. A level base with effective drainage will make installation easier and help prevent movement, pooling water and ongoing maintenance issues.
Yes. The modular panel system means larger stable setups can be dismantled, transported and reassembled at another property. Even when the stable has been anchored to a slab, the fixings can be removed so the panels can be relocated. This makes the system more flexible than a permanently built structure and can also help retain resale or relocation value if your property needs change
It depends on your base. For grass, road base, gravel or crusher dust, use a ground anchor kit. Concrete footings at anchor points can add support without requiring a full slab.
For a concrete slab, use suitable concrete anchors such as Dynabolts instead. Shed conversions may also need fixings to existing posts or walls, depending on the panel layout.
