"If you can think it, we can make it."
A big shed was transformed into a breezeway-style stable system with wide gates, mesh panels, and protective kickboards. A practical, stylish setup designed for airflow, safety, and ease of access.
Build It Your Way
Even open sheds can become professional-grade stable systems.
The raised internal clearance keeps air moving through the breezeway while allowing easy handler movement, feed access, and daily workflow without that cramped retrofit feel.
Two 10m x 4m runs (80m² total) integrate under a continuous roofline, creating structural continuity and long-term strength — no bolt-together weak points or mismatched sections.
Solid lower kickboards protect horses from impact and draft, while mesh upper panels maintain visibility and strong Queensland airflow across all four bays.
Secure, easy-swing access improves daily handling while maintaining containment — practical for multi-horse setups and busy rural properties.
Project Highlight
Premium Walk-Through Retrofit with Breezeway Access
This client needed a professional-looking stable fit-out for multiple horses, with wide internal access for feeding, riding, and clean-up.
We installed 2 Horse stables as opposing stalls on either side of a central breezeway, using 4m frontage panels and extra-wide swing gates for easy movement. Each stall included ply kickboards and mesh tops for airflow and safety.
The layout was custom-fitted onsite to suit the existing shed’s dimensions, height, and access points, all installed in a single day by the Guerilla crew. With its clean lines and smart layout, this retrofit offers a premium look and lasting performance for everyday use.
Three smart upgrade ideas for this 4-bay indoor breezeway system – improve multi-use functionality without changing the core structure.
Replace mesh-top panels with solid panel sheeting in one or more bays, increases privacy for stallions, recovery horses, or foaling mares, and allows the breezeway layout to function in colder or more exposed environments.
Upgrade wide swing gates to sliding doors for tighter internal clearance, or install Dutch doors for improved airflow control and horse interaction, both options can be upgraded directly with the existing welded frame.
Convert an end bay into a lockable storage space using full-height ply or steel sheeting, creates integrated gear storage within the breezeway footprint without expanding the shed footprint.

Every Guerrilla Steel project follows a simple principle: build once, build right. The process focuses on practical planning, precision manufacturing, and long-term durability so the stable becomes a lasting asset—whether you plan to use it as a permanent structure or relocate and reconfigure the modular panels later.
The process begins with choosing the right configuration for your property, horses, and daily workflow. Stable size, layout, ventilation, and site access are considered so the structure works with your land and long-term plans.
Each stable is fabricated in the Guerrilla Steel workshop using Australian RHS steel framing, welded panels, and durable roofing materials. Manufacturing in a controlled environment ensures consistency, strength, and long service life.
Modular panels are delivered ready for assembly. Many customers install the system themselves using the DIY friendly flat-pack design, while others choose professional installation. Either way, the modular system keeps the build straightforward and predictable.
Once installed, the stable becomes part of the property’s working infrastructure. Routine checks, cleaning, and occasional maintenance keep the structure performing for decades while protecting the horses inside.
