Build It Your Way

Twin Horse Stable – Yoke Gates

  • 10m x 5m (50m²)

Extra Space for Bigger Horses Without Locking in Your Future Plans

This project was built for a busy rural property that needed more than a standard-sized stable. The owners wanted generous space for larger horses, good ventilation and a structure that could adapt as their property evolved.

We supplied two oversized 5m × 5m stable bays, installed on a compacted road base and securely anchored from day one. The modular design means the stable can remain portable, be fixed permanently to a concrete slab later, or expand with additional bays, shelters or a tack room when the time is right.

Completed in around a day and a half, the finished stable delivers practical horse handling today without limiting tomorrow’s options.

More Room for horses Where It Matters

The larger bays make everyday handling easier while giving bigger horses the space they need to move comfortably.

  • Oversized 5m × 5m bays suited to larger breeds, foaling or owners wanting more working room.
  • Extra space around horses for feeding, tying up and routine care.
  • Half-height yoke gates provide easy access while maintaining safe horse contact.
  • Open, spacious layout improves visibility throughout the stable.

Ready Now, Easy to Upgrade and add more bays Later

The owners wanted flexibility without rebuilding in the future.

  • Installed on compacted road base with heavy-duty anchor points for immediate use.
  • Concrete can be added later without replacing the existing structure.
  • Fully welded modular construction can be relocated or expanded if the property changes.
  • Future tack rooms, shelters and additional bays integrate with the existing layout.

Built for horses living in Queensland Conditions

The design keeps horses comfortable while standing up to everyday rural use.

  • Extended roof overhang provides extra shade and keeps entrances drier during heavy rain.
  • Mesh upper panels promote natural airflow through both stable bays.
  • Full ply kickboards offer impact protection and additional shelter from wind and rain.
  • The 2.5m roof height helps warm air rise and escape naturally.

Rural horse owners managing big or performance horses

These stables are built for size and safety, not show. The oversized 5 × 5 m bays give large breeds the space they actually need to move, tie, and cool off properly. Clear airflow, solid tie-up points, and no wasted “decorative” extras. Just smart design that makes handling safer and horses calmer in any season.

Property owners who want a setup that grows with them.

Start with what you need now, add more when you’re ready. Every stable is modular, so you can begin with two bays and expand later without tearing anything down. Add a tack room, wash bay, or extra stalls as your property (or herd) grows. The frame, roofline, and layout all connect cleanly, no patch-jobs, no rebuilds.

DIY builders who still want professional results.

Flat-packed, pre-welded, and ready to go, most customers assemble theirs in a day with basic tools. It’s family-friendly to install, but still engineered for long-term use. And if you’d rather skip the spanners, the Guerilla crew can knock it over in about a day-and-a-half. Either way, you’re getting workshop-built steel, not a “kit” that wobbles in the wind.

Smart Customisation Ideas for This Twin-Bay Setup

Functional Add-Ons That Expand the System

Turn your two-bay setup into a true working hub. Add an integrated tack or feed room, or connect a compact wash bay module with drainage and tie-up points. Every section bolts straight onto the existing frame, so expansion later is clean, not a retrofit headache. → View prefab stable extension ideas

Roofline and Access Upgrades for Daily Use

Extend the roofline to create covered grooming or tie-up zones, perfect for Queensland heat and sudden downpours. Pair it with Dutch or sliding gates for safer horse handling and smoother movement through the bays. → See custom stable roofing options

Professional Finishes and Weather Control

Go from “solid build” to “smart facility.” Add branding panels or colour-matched sheeting, removable wind screens, and slab-ready anchor kits for future upgrades. Small tweaks that protect your horses, extend lifespan, and make your setup look like it belongs on a top-tier property.

Every Guerrilla Steel project follows a simple principle: build once, build right. The process focuses on practical planning, precision manufacturing, and long-term durability so the stable becomes a lasting asset—whether you plan to use it as a permanent structure or relocate and reconfigure the modular panels later.

  1. Design & Planning

The process begins with choosing the right configuration for your property, horses, and daily workflow. Stable size, layout, ventilation, and site access are considered so the structure works with your land and long-term plans.

  2. Precision Manufacturing

Each stable is fabricated in the Guerrilla Steel workshop using Australian RHS steel framing, welded panels, and durable roofing materials. Manufacturing in a controlled environment ensures consistency, strength, and long service life.

  3. Delivery & Installation

Modular panels are delivered ready for assembly. Many customers install the system themselves using the DIY friendly flat-pack design, while others choose professional installation. Either way, the modular system keeps the build straightforward and predictable.

  4. Ownership & Maintenance

Once installed, the stable becomes part of the property’s working infrastructure. Routine checks, cleaning, and occasional maintenance keep the structure performing for decades while protecting the horses inside.
