Using welded steel bar panels, kick-safe form ply, and custom framing tied directly into existing shed walls, the result is a secure, ventilated, and cost-saving indoor recovery space.
Build It Your Way
Sometimes a stable isn’t a planned project. It’s an emergency.
When this client contacted us, their horse was in veterinary boarding at around $2,500 per night. They already had a suitable shed, but it needed to become a safe recovery stable immediately. Building a new stable simply wasn’t an option.
Working with the existing structure, we measured, fabricated and installed a complete indoor stable system within three days. By retrofitting custom steel panels inside the shed, we created a secure recovery space without demolition or major building work, allowing the horse to return home sooner and continue recovering in familiar surroundings.
The quickest solution wasn’t starting again. It was making better use of the infrastructure already on the property.
Although this project started as an emergency, the finished stable was designed to remain part of the property long after the horse recovered.
The immediate priority was getting the horse home safely, but the owners also wanted a system that wouldn’t become redundant once the emergency had passed.

Every Guerrilla Steel project follows a simple principle: build once, build right. The process begins with choosing the right configuration for your property, horses, and daily workflow. Stable size, layout, ventilation, and site access are considered so the structure works with your land and long-term plans.
Each stable is fabricated in the Guerrilla Steel workshop using Australian RHS steel framing, welded panels, and durable roofing materials. Manufacturing in a controlled environment ensures consistency, strength, and long service life.
Modular panels are delivered ready for assembly. Many customers install the system themselves using the DIY friendly flat-pack design, while others choose professional installation. Either way, the modular system keeps the build straightforward and predictable.
Once installed, the stable becomes part of the property’s working infrastructure. Routine checks, cleaning, and occasional maintenance keep the structure performing for decades while protecting the horses inside.
